Documentary Film Festival of CIS Countries “Eurasia.DOC”
General provisions
The 8th Documentary Film Festival of the CIS countries “Eurasia.DOC” is planned to be held from September 30 to October 4, 2024 in Smolensk and Minsk.

The festival “Eurasia.DOC” is supported by:

Goals and objectives of the Festival
The main goal of the festival is:
Forming a community of like-minded documentarians working on pressing issues of the recent past, today and future of the CIS countries.
The main objectives of the festival are:
— Development of creative contacts and cooperation, support for cultural and artistic figures of the CIS countries;
— Education and training of young people and students in the spirit of respect for common history and understanding of the importance of integration processes in the CIS space;
— Actively promoting the creation of a positive information space in the CIS countries;
— Countering attempts to distort history;
— Promoting further integration of the CIS countries, maintaining a common cultural, historical, information and creative space.
Accepting applications for “Eurasia.DOC” 2024
Films whose theme is directly or indirectly related to the socio-political life of the CIS countries and the entire post-Soviet space are allowed to participate in the main competition screening. The geography of film forum participants is not limited.
Films created no earlier than September 30, 2023 are accepted for participation in the Festival.
Young people aged 16 to 35 can take part in the youth competition of the Youth Short Documentary Film Competition “Eurasia.DOC: 4 minutes”.
Festival program
The festival program includes:
— screenings of films participating in the competition;
— out-of-competition and retrospective shows;
— round tables and thematic discussions;
— master classes;
— meetings with authors, experts and public figures;
— press conferences;
- Exhibitions;
- special events.
The terms of participation
To participate in the festival, you must submit an application to the Festival Directorate, including:
- author’s summary of the film;
— information about the creators of the film, photographs, stills from the film, film trailer (if available), film in MP4 format.
Applications are accepted by the Festival Directorate until July 15, 2024.
Access to materials submitted in the competition application must be open throughout the entire application campaign – until July 15, 2024!
Responsibility for claims and suits of third parties related to copyright and related rights lies with the legal entity or individual submitting the film to the competition program in relation to which a dispute has arisen.
Festival Jury
The festival jury consists of famous journalists, experts in the field of documentary films, and public figures.
Festival Prizes
— Festival prizes for the best films;
— Special prizes;
— Festival diplomas.
Guests
Organizational issues related to inviting guests, terms and conditions of their stay, as well as accreditation are decided by the Festival Directorate.
The participation of films in the competition programs of the festival requires the presence of one (two) representatives from the films included in the competition program.
The funds raised are used to pay for the following expenses of representatives of films included in the program, experts, as well as jury members: travel to and from the festival site, accommodation, meals during the festival.
The conditions of stay of representatives of films included in the non-competition program and other guests of the festival are specified in personal invitations.
