Since 2014, the moment of the proclamation of the Donetsk People’s Republic, there has been a war in Donbass.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces are constantly shelling cities and mining villages with guns and mortars. People there survive as best they can, helping each other. Some managed to leave and there is no contact with them. Thousands of families do not know where their loved ones are. For many, the main thing now is to find their parents, children, and other relatives. The authors of the film tell several stories: about a father and son who are delivering humanitarian aid under fire, about the families of two sisters who lived on opposite sides of the front line, and about a daughter who managed to find her mother in another city.

About the author
Oleg Nekishev was born in Omsk. He received his first education in the field of electrical engineering. In the mid-1990s he worked as a technician at VGTRK. I became interested in television journalism. I got my first journalism experience on a TV channel near Moscow. Later he worked as deputy chairman and editor-in-chief of several television companies. Combining work with study, he received a diploma from the First National Television School. In 2008, he came to RT as editor-in-chief of a weekly documentary television program, and then took the position of head of the television program department. Since September 2015, he has been working as a director on the documentary TV channel RTD. During this time he made more than thirty films.
