As part of the VIII Documentary Film Festival of the CIS countries “Eurasia.DOC”, a youth competition of short documentary films “Eurasia.doc: 4 minutes” is being held.
“Eurasia.doc: 4 minutes” is a competition aimed at supporting young people who make short documentaries at the intersection of journalism, social activism and cinema.
The topics of work are not limited – everything that worries the author: awareness of himself and the surrounding reality, current problems of society and new challenges that people face.
In 2024, the youth film competition will be held for the seventh time. The geography of its participants is not limited.
The maximum length of a film, including credits, is 4 minutes.
The deadline for submitting competition works is August 1.
A competent jury will determine three winners, who will be able to attend the official events of the Festival at the expense of the organizers.
The finalist films of the youth short documentary film competition “Eurasia.doc: 4 minutes” will be shown on the big screen at the VIII Documentary Film Festival of the CIS countries “Eurasia.DOC”, which will be held in Smolensk and Minsk from September 30 to October 4, 2024.
The authors of the three best films recognized as winners will receive valuable prizes.
REGULATIONS
Youth competition of short documentary films “Eurasia.DOC: 4 minutes” (held as part of the VIII Documentary Film Festival of the CIS countries “Eurasia.DOC”)
- The youth competition of short documentary films “Eurasia.DOC: 4 minutes” (hereinafter referred to as the Competition) is held in order to support and professional growth of creative youth. The event takes place within the framework of the Documentary Film Festival of the CIS countries “Eurasia.DOC” and is its youth section.
- Organizers of the Competition:
ANO “Eurasian Center for Cultural Initiatives”;
Public association “Belarusian Union of Journalists”;
Production center “Studio Third Rome”.
- Young people aged 16 to 35 can take part in the Competition. Works are accepted in Russian (if the work is done in another language, Russian subtitles are required). Geography is not limited.
- Extremist statements and other violations of the law, ethics and morality are not allowed in films created as part of the Competition.
- The competition is held with financial support from:
Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation
Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation of the CIS Member States (IFHC).
- The organizers bear all costs associated with the accommodation of laureates and winners, as well as their travel to the venue of the award ceremony.
