The documentary film festival of the CIS countries “Eurasia.DOC” became a co-organizer of the Day dedicated to Eurasian culture and integration. The event took place on the eve of the EAEU summit with the participation of the leaders of the Eurasian Five countries.
On December 8, the “Big Eurasian Day” was held in Bishkek.It was organized by the Eurasia.DOC project together with the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in Kyrgyzstan, the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University, and the Russian House in Bishkek.
As part of the “Big Eurasian Day”, KRSU students presented their next political musical “Hello, Integration!”
A presentation of the international documentary film festival of the CIS countries “Eurasia.DOC”, a presentation of the 2022 finalist films, and a screening of videos of the youth competition “Eurasia.DOC: 4 minutes” took place.
– Residents of the countries of the Eurasian space are neighbors, and this fact cannot be changed. We are united by long-standing historical ties, joint achievements and victories, common language and culture. This commonality is demonstrated in the films participating in our festival,” said Valery Shekhovtsov, director of the International Documentary Film Festival of the CIS countries “Eurasia.DOC”.
An active participant in the CIS Documentary Film Festival “Eurasia.DOC” from Kyrgyzstan – finalist of the youth short documentary film competition “Eurasia.doc: 4 minutes” Maria Naumova was solemnly presented with a Letter of Gratitude for her high professionalism, assistance and active participation in the events of the Festival.
A meeting of young scientists “Eurasian integration associations: prospects for participation in the construction of Greater Eurasia” was held in the conference hall.
The purpose of this conference is to determine the main forms and tools for the development of integrated associations within the framework of the Greater Eurasia Project and to assess their potential for interaction.
– This year, Kyrgyzstan is the flagship of the Eurasian agenda. Major Eurasian forums take place here one after another. We live in different states, but in fact, this is one large common space. Sometimes it seems to us that our potential is limited by the borders of our states, but the space of the EAEU provides us with limitless opportunities that we need to take advantage of,” said Albert Zulkharneev, head of the Rossotrudnichestvo Representative Office in Kyrgyzstan.
The “Big Eurasian Day” program was continued by the international round table “Great Eurasian Partnership. Joining forces”, which took place at the press center of “Sputnik – Kyrgyzstan”. Speakers from Moscow, Minsk and Bishkek discussed promising and large-scale integration projects in the Eurasian space.
“Eurasia.DOC” is a documentary film festival of the CIS countries, which has been held in Smolensk and Minsk since 2016 with the support of the International Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation (IFHC) of the CIS member states. It includes a competition program (for beginners and experienced directors), open film screenings, round tables, master classes and discussions on current topics in socio-political life.
In 2022, the Eurasia.DOC project program was expanded with post-festival events held in the territories of the CIS countries.
